The neutron beam lines are once again operational at NRC-CNBC after the source of its neutrons, the NRU reactor, was shutdown on May 14, 2009. After 15 months, AECL returned to the reactor to high power operations on August 17, 2010.

A new technology that helps vaccines to last longer in the body could pave the way for effective vaccines against cancer.

Canadians may soon have faster access to pandemic and seasonal influenza vaccines, thanks to an investment by the Government of Canada to Medicago Inc., a Quebec business. The announcement was made by Sylvie Boucher, Member of Parliament for Beauport-Limoilou, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology).
